About Thomas

My work is a desire to reveal the hidden recesses of my soul through glass; expressing my deepest self while creating a sense of the transcendent in the present moment. The pieces are icons of my soul; revealing both the inward and outward mystical reality in which I find myself living. Drawing on the inspiration of the great mystics, through the use of archetypal imagery, muted colors and subtle surfaces, I attempt to reveal the transcendent through the creation of glass icons.

Santa Fe, NM is where I transitioned from glass hobbyist to glass iconographer. In 2011, then mentor artist Phil Binaco introduced me to Bullseye Glass. From that introduction, I knew glass was the medium to express my soul. With a background in mystical spirituality, Jungian Psychology and landscape design, creating glass icons was a natural path for me. A 2012 exhibition of my work at the Ruidoso Regional Council for the Arts inspired me to refine my concept of glass as icon.

Now in California, I strive to create icons of glass that express and enlighten the soul.
